Introdución

This touristic guide reflects the work made during this school year of 2006/2007, in the context of the subject of Área de Projecto, in wich we realized a group Project, that it’s called “ Aveiro a city to discover, a city to visit”.
The purpose of this Project is to show the world the essential about the city of Aveiro and the main characteristics of the city: the history, the culture (traditions, costumes, architecture, personalities), the main economic activities are: fishing activities, salt industry, the already extinct activity of “apanha do moliço” (it’s the catch of a type of vegetation of the river), the industry and so on, to demonstrate the monuments and the personalities related to it.
This touristic guide also shows us the spare time areas like parks, restaurants, hotels, bars and the great building that represents the “Fórum de Aveiro”.
For the realization of this guide we made a research work in the Internet, newspapers, magazines and other guides.
For the realization of this guide, because of the extension of the city we had to do two travels to it otherwise it wasn’t possible to visit it in just one day.
After the search of all this information we started to make our final product the touristic guide.
In this guide you can find the most diverse information about the city: places to visit, monuments and other useful information to the tourists that want to go to the city.

We also made a translation work of the guide to English and Spanish in order to make the information become more accessible to the people.
