The food apreciators can enjoy the fish or the meat, specialy the fish recepies due to the huge fishing activity surounding the city.
As fish recepies there are some nice sugestions: caldeirada de enguias, enguias de escabeche, raia em molho pitau, espetadas de mexilhão and finaly caldeirada of several fishes of the Ria or the sea.

Respecting the meat, we sugest: carneiro à lampantana, leitão assado, chanfana de borrego or de cabrito, chouriço com grelos or even rojões.
